Life-sized twisted airplane wreckage by artist Abdel Abmessedmed
“Telle mère tel fils” stretches more than sixty-five feet. Abdel Abmessedmed created the massive sculpture using three cockpits and tailfins from real aircraft. The braided fuselage is made from felt cylinders that have been inflated to maintain their form.
Adel Abdessemed was born in Constantine, Algeria, 1971 and grew up in Northern Algeria’s Aurès mountain area. He attended the Fine Arts School in Batna, Algeria and the École Supérieure des Beaux Arts Algiers.
