Sophisticated mind-reading scanners may soon be a part of airport security
Mind-Reading Security Cameras

Security experts say that a new approach to airport security involves using mind-reading scanners to determine the travelers intentions. One such mind-reading scanner, produced by WeCU Technology, is already in development.

The device uses images projected onto airport security screens that only a terrorist would likely recognize.

The mind-reading scanners, which consist of both humans and sensors, observe the person’s reactions to the symbols. The scanners are programmed to detect slight changes in eye movement and body language, and changes in body temperature and heart rate that indicate suspicious behavior.

If the sensors determine a suspicious reaction, the traveler could be pulled out of line for further screening.

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and Homeland Security are both interested in using the mind-reading scanners and have given grants to Israeli-based WeCU for further research and development.
